High school students and the Mosaic Project
In 2013 PCA&D will host the fifth annual High School Mosiac Day on Friday October 4th. As in past years, high school art teachers from the School District of Lancaster and Pequea Valley School District will select 15 students from each school to visit PCA&D for the day. Activited will include meeting artist Laylah Ali as well as attending her artist talk and participating in a drawing workshop, led by Ali.
In 2012, high school art teachers from the School District of Lancaster and Pequea Valley School District selected students to attend PCA&D's Mosaic Project exhibit and artist lectures on October 5. Students spent the day at PCA&D and experienced art activites that included a tour of the gallery exhibit, Q&A and drawing workshop with artist Lorenzo Hurtado Segovia, Hurtado Segovia's artist talk, lunch, and a student-led tour of the college.
