David Snyder, a PCA&D founder, passes away

David K. Snyder, one of the founders of the art school that became Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, passed away on December 29. He was 64.
 
Dave taught in the Fine Art and Foundation departments in PCA&D's BFA program.
 
"Dave Snyder was a powerful influence on the success of the College,” states Mary Colleen Heil, PCA&D President. “He was an excellent teacher and artist and was deeply committed to his work and his students. We will all miss him."
 
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2 from 2-4 p.m. at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, 863 S. George Street, York Pa.

 

The College will hold a memorial service after students return for the spring semester.
