The Board of Trustees at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design has named Robert P. Macina, Esq. as Chairman of the Board. His one-year term runs from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013.

Mr. Macina currently serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative/Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for Lancaster General Health, Lancaster General Hospital and their affiliates. He provides strategic legal advice and guidance to the Boards of Trustees and the senior management team, and provides or oversees all other legal services necessary for the effective operation of the organization.
Prior to joining the Hospital in 1995, he was a partner in the law firm of Greenberg, Traurig located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mr. Macina specialized in representation of hospitals, physicians and physician groups in matters such as Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, licensure and regulation, corporate structure and governance, and relationships by and among health care providers.
Mr. Macina received a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., his master’s degree in business administration from Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York, and his juris doctor degree from New York Law School, New York. He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, New York and Florida. He is board certified as a specialist in Health Law by the Florida Bar.
