LANCASTER, PA – May 2, 2009 from 3-6 p.m.: Senior Show & Celebration. This is the capstone event for Pennsylvania College of Art & Design’s Class of 2009. Artworks by graduating seniors in various media are for sale and cover every floor. That’s more than 60,000 square feet of the College. It’s PCA&D’s fun and richly layered send-off celebrating the completion of four years of hard work.
There’s live music on each floor of the College. Musicians include the Gadjo Playboys, Tom Witmer, and Mark Huber.
It’s truly the gallery event of the year.
And this year, Pennsylvania College of Art & Design welcomes WXPN-FM as media sponsor of the Senior Show & Celebration. We are encouraged by their support of the arts, music, and culture in central Pennsylvania.
Then throughout May, enjoy the Senior Show in the Main Gallery.
The PCA&D Senior Show includes one piece of artwork by each member of the Class of 2009. Dozens of works represent a variety of media and styles, including illustration, graphic design, photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, animation, and multimedia. The exhibit is the culmination of four years of hard work – and the students know that the fruits of their labor will be on display for the public, potential employers, and collectors to view.
Continues through May 30. The Main Gallery is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on First Fridays, and during the spring and fall Art Walks in Lancaster. The gallery is closed on school holidays.
