Pennsylvania College of Art & Design President Mary Colleen Heil is one of Lancaster's creative visionaries, as published in the new issue of fig Lancaster, shown above. (Image courtesy of Moxie House, LLP, publishers of fig magazine.)
Heil is one of four Lancastrians, who are also leaders in their fields, featured in the annual arts issue. Other featured categories and creative visionaries are Lancaster Mayor Richard Gray (government); Lois Dostalik (business, president and CEO at E4 Strategic Consultancy); and Sam Bressi (non-profit, president and CEO of the Lancaster County Community Foundation).
The special section features photos of each visionary with a brief story, crafted in their own words, about their respective organizations and creative vision. In an excerpt from Heil's feature, she writes:
"Vibrant gathering places are crucial to breed those organic, authentic connections that support acts of initiative and creation. When I first came to Lancaster it didn’t take long to realize that this was a city filled with creative people in need of a center..."
"Creativity feeds creativity. PCA&D is continually inspired by the creative community here and we’re forging ahead with plans to increase the size and scope of our vision — together."
Congratulations to Mary Colleen Heil and Lancaster's "creative visionaries."
