Activities: Close to 40 years working for ad agencies throughout the Northeast U.S., working on branding and packaging assignments for regional and national accounts. For the past 24 years I have been a creative director and partner at Godfrey, focusing on advertising and branding assignments for national and global business-to-business clients.
Teaching Philosophy: My goal is to help students transition from thinking like a student to thinking professionally. A significant portion of the class will focus on their portfolio preparation. A strong, well thought-out portfolio is critical but just as important in the interview process is the student’s (now job candidate’s) ability to demonstrate how they think, how well they communicate, their passion for design and their willingness to learn. Class discussions, critiques, roll playing and exercises will sharpen student’s communication and presentation skills in order to help them gain confidence for their job interviews. As a seasoned creative professional, I will share insights on effective time management and collaboration skills.
