Package designs and a new logo by Socheata Chhun ’15, graphic design major, were selected by J&F Products, LLC, for the “Mr. Pastie” line of food products.

Socheata designed the logo and packaging for eight-ounce boxes of pasties, which are round, crusted pies common in Northern Ireland.

Her winning design was part of a nine student, in-class packaging design project/competition led by faculty member Tom Newmaster. Socheata, in addition to having a successful piece for her professional portfolio, earned $250 as a prize.

This project is another example of how PCA&D students are prepared for the real world. Exceeding the expectations of real-world clients makes our graduates strong thinkers, strong makers, and strong communicators.
