SUMMARY:Remake Learning Days: Creative Playground
DESCRIPTION:Creative Playground is a hands-on, come-and-go community art event celebrating imagination, collaboration, and making together as families hosted by the Center for Creative Exploration at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design along with community partners. This event takes place 3:30 – 6 pm\nThe Center for Creative Exploration at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design will be hosting a giant making table open for the full duration—inviting artists of all ages to tinker, build, and create freely. Peace Kids to the Rescue will guide children and adults through a collaborative monoprinting experience using cake pans and paints. \nFrom 3:00–4:30 pm, Lancaster TotSpot will host We Built This City!, a collaborative project exploring community, architecture, and sculpture as participants work together to design and embellish a city inspired by real-life surroundings or pure imagination. Geared toward children ages 2–10 and their caregivers—but welcoming creators of all ages—this activity emphasizes teamwork and storytelling through building. \nAnd beginning at 4:30 pm, Hillside Place Studio will offer a quieter, low-key mixed media experience inspired by the book We Share This Neighborhood. Through collage, assemblage, and experimentation, participants will reflect on ideas of neighborhood and belonging, creating small works that express what community means to them in a calm, welcoming space.\nJoin us for a playful, process-focused evening of activities designed to encourage shared creativity between adults and kids. \nThis event is free and open to the public. Please register so we know how much fun to have on hand! RSVP Link: https://forms.gle/pvXmjr3TzzTfXxEE8 ( https://forms.gle/pvXmjr3TzzTfXxEE8 )\nDrop in any time between 3:30 – 6 pm on May 12, 2026.
