Mural Policy & Management Conversation
Ever wonder what it takes to make a mural? This event is for artists, community leaders, business owners and anyone else interested in our city becoming more vibrant and reflective of our diverse communities through mural arts. Join Lancaster Public Art and Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D) for a virtual “Ask an Expert” discussion hosted by Americans for the Arts on Friday, April 19th. Mural manager heavyweight, Jane Golden, Executive Director of Mural Arts Philadelphia, and Karl LeClair, Public Art Program Manager for Boise City Department of Arts and History, will discuss the development and management of mural policies and resources.
This free event will begin at 2:30 pm with the hour-long telecast kicking off at 3:00 pm. There will be time for further questions and discussions with Lancaster Public Art Manager, Jo Davis, and PCA&D Continuing Education staff afterwards. Register today!

Murals can be a source of pride for communities and come with their own opportunities and challenges for public art program administrators. Mural policy development and management guidelines can be tools for administrators, artists, and community members to utilize when implementing a mural. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with experts in the field of mural policy development and management. Participants will gain insight into mural implementation, learn about available resources, and more!
