Painting: Watercolor and the Pennsylvania Society of Watercolor Exhibition Workshop

Watercolor is a medium that is expressive and exciting; it can be soft, airy, and dreamy as well as deep, dense, and wildly abstract.  In this one-day workshop we will combine a visit to the Lancaster Museum of Art (LMA) with studio time at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design. Students will begin the day at the LMA to explore the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society’s Annual Juried Exhibition which will feature over one hundred watercolor paintings from artists around the globe. After experiencing the exhibition, students will then focus on creating their own personal works exploring some of the techniques that was viewed at the LMA.
