Bring your artwork back home

PCA&D Alumni, it's time to celebrate you and your work

In honor of the first-ever PCA&D Homecoming Weekend, we want to bring some of your work back home too!

This exhibition is open to all of our alumni from Animators to Writers and everyone in between. We ask that you submit no more than five works.

The exhibition runs from September 3 through October 31, 2021

submission guidelines

Two-dimensional

Painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, some textiles, etc.

All work must be ready to install. It must be framed, cradled or mounted, and have appropriate hanging hardware. Sawtooth hangers are NOT permitted. Work will not be mounted to the wall using magnets and pins for this exhibition.

Three-dimensional

Ceramics, installation, sculpture, and some textiles, etc.

All work must be ready to install. 3-D work must be freestanding or wall-mounted. We will not drill into pedestals or tables. If your work requires special installation methods, please indicate this in the appropriate section

Writing

Screenplays, scripts, short stories, novels, poetry, and more.

Please submit the following:

  • Screenplay/Script: A brief description of the work and a plot summary. If applicable, a video up to 5 minutes long of a reading (staged or unstaged)
  • Novel: An excerpt of the book, no more than one chapter, and a summary
  • Short Stories or Poetry: Submit up to 5 samples of your work 

Animation / Video / Game Art

If you’re submitting stills, storyboards, poster designs, etc. please submit 2 images, a full-size image, and a detail. All work must be ready to install. It must be framed, cradled or mounted, and have appropriate hanging hardware. Sawtooth hangers are NOT permitted. Work will not be mounted to the wall using magnets and pins for this exhibition. 

Any submissions requiring A/V equipment from projectors, tablets, speakers, and more, please submit a video no more than 5 minutes long, a plot description where applicable, and indicate if a transcript is available.

selling your art

PCA&D Gallery does not facilitate the sale of the artworks on view. A price list will be available and if someone is interested in purchasing the work, they will be put in direct contact with you. The work MUST remain on view the duration of the exhibition even if it is sold. You, the artist, will retain 100% of the proceeds of the sale and are responsible for coordinating how the buyer receives the artwork.
