Emily Truman is a Lancaster-based collage artist whose work focuses on the way society views the binary constructs of gender. A consequent focus of her work explores sex, body image, and how people connect with the earth, with animals, and with each other. In addition to exhibiting her work in Lancaster, York, Harrisburg, and Reading, PA, she has also exhibited in Philadelphia and Chelsea, NYC. She has been published in a variety of independently owned art magazines and other such publications. Emily attended art school at PA College of Art and Design with a focus on photography, and received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Millersville University.
