Laura Korzon graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2010 and has been working as an illustrator and designer ever since. Originally from Lititz, she is now based in downtown Lancaster where she best known as Paper Jane, a creative studio founded in 2015 to connect with local clients in need of custom illustration for business and personal use. Laura’s illustrations incorporate a blend of simple shapes, intricate line work, and bold color. Some of her favorite projects include logo design, book illustration, and mural design. She is inspired by nature, old books, and everyday magic!
Arts & Community: Downtown Lancaster is a very wonderful place to live and work as an artist. I moved to downtown Lancaster in 2012 and have been very involved in the arts community ever since. I love that Lancaster is filled with so many talented artists and designers. I have been lucky enough to work with many of them professionally and have developed long lasting friendships through these experiences. The sense of community here has been encouraging and inspiring to my work.
Professional Work: Laura got her professional start in 2010 working as a product designer at Dansko, a comfort shoe brand based near Kennett Square, where she designed shoes and created surface graphics for apparel. Since then she has worked as a freelance contractor, creating illustration and design for clients all over the world. Her design experience includes: invitation and stationery, wall art and home decor, logo design and branding, book illustration, and surface design. She has knowledge in the world of art licensing, where she has experience as both a buyer and artist. A few of her recent clients include Harper Collins, Anderson Press, WH Smith Booksellers, Disney Publishing, American Greetings, and Lancaster Central Market.
