Lisa Gauker is a visual artist and naturalist living in Berks County, PA. Her work ranges widely in media, and depicts imagery from the natural world- often including found objects which she collects in her travels. Allowing people to connect to any, even a small aspect of the environment is her goal, and the enthusiasm she shows for even the smallest creatures can be contagious.
Gauker graduated from PCA&D in 2008 with a BFA in Fine Art. She exhibits her work regionally, and works as gallery preparator and Chairman of the Board for a small non-profit art center and gallery called Clay on Main, located in Oley, PA.
Her lifelong passion for the environment as well as the arts have found her
providing environmental education programs and creative arts workshops involving nature through the Berks County Parks & Recreation Department.
When not educating people about our natural world, Gauker enjoys beekeeping, hiking, traveling, and gardening. She lives with her fiance, a needy Siamese cat who demands an overabundance of attention, a rotund bearded dragon, and two
precocious chameleons who make appearances as animal ambassadors during public programs.
