Lisa Gauker is a visual artist and naturalist living in Berks County, PA. She also displays work under the moniker ‘Rust & Honey’, a nod to her love of beekeeping, a hobby she’s enjoyed for nearly a decade. Her work ranges widely in media and depicts imagery from the natural world- often including found objects which she collects in her travels. Gauker graduated from PCA&D in 2008 with a BFA in Fine Art. She exhibits her work regionally, and works as gallery director and Chairman of the Board for a small non-profit art center and gallery called Clay on Main, located in Oley, PA.
She also works as an environmental educator through the Berks County Parks & Recreation Department, providing programs and workshops combining the arts and nature. She was awarded the PA Association of Environmental Educators award for Outstanding Environmental Education Program in 2019, along with Berks Parks’ environmental education staff, for the creation of programming to get kids excited about organic gardening practices and sustainability.
