Seven on Site

Contemporary Landscape Paintings by Martha Armstrong, Sasha Chermayeff, Jane Culp, Judy Koon, Ro Lohin, Lynette Lombard and Megan Williamson

Seven_crop_72March 6 – April 17, 2015

This exhibition features paintings created in response to space, light and color, as experienced while working outside in the landscape. By choosing to paint en plein air -facing and responding to nature- these artists are placing value on a slow and timeless way of seeing. Mark by mark, each artist translates the world she sees. Not an exact rendering, but rather a painting; an interpretation unique to her view of our fast-paced, modern world.

Seven on Site is a group of seven contemporary landscape painters who are mid-career American artists from across the country. The artworks selected for this exhibition were painted in the U.S. and Europe.

Seven on Site exhibition and supporting activities at PCA&D are funded by a generous grant from The Richard C. von Hess Foundation.
