February Fun! Artist Exploration – Wayne Thiebaud: Grades 6-8

In this workshop for students in grades 6-8, we will look at Wayne Thiebaud, a West Coast artist born in 1920, who defied artistic trends to create his own vision of American culture. His iconic still lifes, featuring delectable cakes and pastries, have left an indelible mark on the art world. Students will produce their very own “sweet treat” masterpiece, drawing inspiration from Thiebaud’s iconic works.
