Batik Exploration Ages 11-Adult: Intergenerational Studio

In this two day class, you will learn the wax-resist fabric dyeing technique of batik. We will view and discuss examples of batik and history of the art form. You will create designs and utilize batik wax methods to create a resist, experiment with color removal, and make an independently designed fabric. You will then add details and textures using fabric paints and other materials. Teacher demonstration and help will guide your hands on experience!
