Description

Learn the fundamentals of drawing in this beginner-friendly class designed to boost confidence and build essential skills. Through guided exercises and simple projects, participants will grasp core drawing concepts. Students will use a photo reference to create a final drawing. You will use sketch paper and graphite pencils to learn how to create a value chart. You will then practice different techniques for mark making and blending. Students will then start their final drawing on drawing paper. Students will be encouraged to use a range of pencil values and explore blending techniques as well as using a kneaded eraser to bring back highlights. This workshop is primarily studio based paired with one-on-one instruction and some lecture and demonstration.
