Description

In this class you will be introduced to impressionist techniques and experiment with texture, color & light. You will learn about the art movement as a whole and its most significant artists. You will apply what you have learned to create a series of impressionistic paintings utilizing oil or acrylic paints. 

This course must meet minimum enrollment by October 25 in order to run. Register today! 

Supply List

  • Oil or Acrylic Paints (Suggested colors: cadmium yellow light, cadmium red, titanium white, Paynes gray, yellow ochre, ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson & cerulean blue )
  • 3 – 11″ x 14″ or larger Canvases or gessoed paper
  • Linseed Oil (If using oil paints)
  • Water container
  • Palette or Palette Paper
  • Paintbrushes
  • Palette Knife
  • SUGGESTED: Drawing board if working on gessoed paper
