Description
In this intro level class, students will learn the basic principles of animation! Using these principles, students will be able to see their animated projects come to life using both traditional and digital techniques. Students will stage, animate and film short animations, using both stop-motion and digital techniques, and create material for a demo reel.
This course must meet minimum enrollment by April 15 in order to run. Register today!
Supplies
- Animation round peg bar
- 1-2 reams 81/2 x 11 white 3 hole punched paper
- (Optional) Smartphone or tablet with digital camera for shooting animation outside of class
- #2, HB, or 2B drawing pencils
- masking tape
- ruler or straight edge
- erasers
- 1 pad (12×9) of Bristol board
- (Optional) Flat LED light table for animating outside of class
- A Gmail.com email address – PCA&D uses Google Classroom for online classes. Gmail accounts are free to create.
- Computer/tablet/internet-enabled device with mic/camera
- Internet access
- A way to take notes
