Learn the technique and medium that changed art history forever with its never-before-seen visual capabilities. This oil painting class discusses the materials, process, and technique to create the luminous qualities that indirect painting can achieve. Students should expect to complete one painting over the course of the class.
This course must meet minimum enrollment by March 2 in order to run. Register today!
- Surface: one gessoed canvas or panel no smaller than 16″x20″ and no larger than 24×30″
- Oil paint: ivory black, titanium white, raw umber or burnt umber, burnt sienna, alizarin crimson, ultramarine blue, cobalt blue, yellow ochre, cadmium yellow light, cadmium orange
- Palette knife
- Variety of brushes
- Medium: one container 50/50 of Linseed or Walnut oil and citrus solvents with lid; one container Linseed oil with lid.
