February Fun! Introduction to Block Printing: Grades 7-9

Want to learn about printmaking but don’t know where to start? Join us in our 101 introductory class to relief block printing! You’ll learn all the skills and tools you’ll need create to wonderful hand pulled prints resulting in your own beautiful limited edition artwork!

We will learn how to transfer our drawings on paper to our printing block with graphite pencils and sharpies. We will also learn how to safely use our carving tools to create positive and negative spaces. When it’s time to print, we will review how to properly apply the correct level of ink to a plate to print and how to use wooden spoons/barrens and our  hands to pull our prints!

This course must meet minimum enrollment by February 10 in order to run. Register today!
