Description

In this class for the film-curious, you will be taught the basics of shooting and processing medium format black and white film. Students who sign up for this class will use Holga 120’s, a medium format camera, to produce their images. Cameras are provided for the duration of the class. We will cover how light effects film, how to develop black and white film, and how to scan your negatives to create digital files. Experimentation is highly encouraged while using the lo-fi camera!
 
NOTE: Film will be provided however, you may choose to bring your favorite black and white medium format film ( ISO 400 only!). Please refer to the supply list for more detailed notes. 

This course must meet minimum enrollment by October 7 in order to run. Register today!

  • OPTIONAL: 120 Black and White film, ISO 400 only
    • Note: one roll will be provided per student. Students will receive an HP5 Ilford roll of film. If you would like to shoot more OR have a different preferred brand, please be sure to double check that the film is Black and White and ISO 400
  • OPTIONAL: Negative sleeves for Medium format film
