Description
Young artists in grades 5-8 will learn basic hand-pulled papermaking skills to create our own paper to use in printmaking and collaged final pieces. We will observe and discuss examples of papermaking and its history. We will then create our own paper pulp and experiment with embedding materials in our paper to add textures and interest. We will view and discuss examples of hand-made paper, printing, and collage, which will inspire our art. Upon completion, we will have unique, hand-made paper to utilize as is OR in future projects!
