This course will introduce students to the basics of building interactive worlds in virtual reality. Students will apply the skills developed through the course to create their own virtual reality experiences which can be shared on VR devices, on the web, or on any smartphone headset! HTML experience is useful, but not required. We will use A-Frame, an open-source, web-based VR library which can run on desktop computers and mobile phones. Development will take place on Glitch, an online code editor with instant deployment and hosting of web projects, and the ability to remix (copy) existing projects to work on them ourselves. Lastly, we will use Google Cardboard headsets as VR viewers, and students will navigate to a special web address on their phones to run their projects.
