In this class, historical context, influence, and practices of the surrealism movement are discussed and explored with paint as the medium. Accessing the subconscious with exercises employed by the surrealists, students will conceive a vision and follow it to fruition through a systematic process all their own. Techniques and methods for various visual results will be demonstrated and explained.
