Photography: Introduction to the Photobook

Working both as a group and as an individual, participants will explore various methods of photo sequencing and photo editing in relation to the photobook. Through creative in-class exercises, participants will dive into a short introduction to the fundamentals of digital photography and image selection. This class is perfect for those who are just getting started on their journey with photography, as well as for those who have more experience and want to expand their knowledge.

The bulk of class time will be spent doing class activities based around getting familiar with your digital camera and photo sequencing. Outside of class, you will be asked to continue photographing and becoming familiar with your camera.

In order to run, this course must meet minimum enrollment by September 24, register today!

Supply List

  • Students will be asked to come prepared with the materials they need in order to take notes via their preferred method. 

  • Digital Cameras (DSLR or Cell Phone Camera) MUST be brought to every class session, as well.   

  • Portable Hard Drive (500GB to 1TB). For this course, I highly recommend a portable hard drive that is at least 500GB in size. This will allow you to easily move files from the school computers to your personal computer. Below are a few I have used over the years:
