Description
This workshop combines literary exploration with artistic expression, offering a unique opportunity to repurpose old or found books into art journals, or create erasure poetry. We’ll learn how to look for endless inspiration through words, numbers, and placement of the type, to turn each page into a piece of art. We will encourage collaboration and sharing of ideas in a supportive and inclusive environment where students can showcase their erasure poetry or art journals created with drawing, collage, and mixed-media, and discuss their inspirations and findings.
This low-pressure creative pursuit offers students the chance to discover hidden gems within the pages of any book. Students can bring their own old or found book, or use one provided by us, as well as any additional drawing materials, painting materials, and collage material they may want to use. See the supply list tab for more details.
This course must meet minimum enrollment by February 10th in order to run. Register today!
