This introductory creative writing course provides an overview of narrative craft and technique. You will become familiar with storytelling fundamentals including the use of conflict, characterization, voice, detail, setting, and point-of-view to bring stories to life. Class will meet five days per week and approximately three hours per day at appointed times over Google Meet. At least two of these three hours will include class discussion, lecture, presentation, and in-class exercises. Approximately one hour will be dedicated to independent reading and writing.
This is a credit-bearing course. Attendance and engagement will impact your final grade.
