Week 3 Summer – Fabric & Surface Design: Grades 7-9

Description

In this one week camp, artists in grades 7-9 will learn different techniques to apply to fabric to create new surfaces and designs. They will experiment with clamping, color removal, dyeing, and painting on fabric. We will view and discuss examples of fabric designs and how to utilize fabrics in different forms. The fabrics created will serve as completed pieces as well as be utilized to create new pieces of art with other materials. Camp culminates in an exhibition of works on the final day.
