Celebrating the Class of 2020

Senior Send-off

The Senior Send-off is an important part of PCA&D’s commencement celebration and will be postponed. At this student-only celebratory event, seniors will receive their berets, a traditional symbol of the artist, to be worn at graduation, and have an opportunity to view the Senior Show. These berets were designed and made by Lancaster County’s own Bollman Hat Company, the oldest hat manufacturer in the United Sts.

In addition, seniors will be welcomed into the ranks of the PCA&D alumni through a champagne toast with the President and pinning ceremony with the City of Lancaster, as well as PCA&D faculty, staff, and alumni.

The 38th Commencement of Pennsylvania College of Art & Design will be postponed.

Graduating seniors will receive their Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in one of five majors: Illustration, Graphic Design, Fine Art, Digital Media, and Photography, during the commencement ceremonies. This is a ticketed event.

PCA&D’s annual celebration is the culmination of a day that begins with Commencement, when the BFA degree candidates in Fine Art, Photography, Graphic Design, Digital Media, and Illustration graduate.

Following a Family and Friends Preview at 4 p.m., the College will open the Senior Show & Celebration to the public from 5 to 8 p.m. The event is the largest annual one-day gallery event in Lancaster. The public is invited to meet the artists, view the artwork, and enjoy live music and refreshments. Many works are for sale.
