River Wintermantel is an artist who resides in both Pittsburgh and Lancaster, PA. While he explores all media freely, he works primarily with acrylic paint. Wintermantel’s work is a self-reflection on childhood memories, transgender identity, and exposes the cruelty behind the transphobic ideology so heavily pushed. He began his professional art career as a student at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, where he obtained 3 Adobe certificates. He is currently a BFA candidate at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design and has exhibited his work in the Collectively Charged Exhibition at the Demuth in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
