Did you know that Zoetropolis Cinema and Stillhouse is celebrating their 30th anniversary in May?!?! Did you also know that PCA&D + Zoe have been collaborating and getting artsy together for even longer?!?! (We’re looking at you, Leigh Lindsay – PCA&D alumna)
We’re excited to help join the celebration of an amazing and creative pillar in downtown Lancaster on Saturday, May 2 from 1-3 pm where we are hosting Art at Lunch – a zine making event led by local artist. PCA&D grad, and owner of Ninety-One Print Co., Rachel Wirick-Yinger! We’ll be collaging, drawing, writing, cutting, and folding to make our zine creations. Whether you’re a beginner or a zine-making pro, Rachel will guide everyone through the process of making a one-page zine! All supplies will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own materials to collage. Head over to the Zoetropolis website for details.
This Art at Lunch is sponsored by the Center for Creative Exploration at PCA&D in celebration of the Zoetropolis 30th year anniversary!

More Info
Creative Playground is a hands-on, come-and-go community art event celebrating imagination, collaboration, and making together as families hosted by the Center for Creative Exploration at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design along with community partners. This event takes place 3:30 – 6 pm
The Center for Creative Exploration at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design will be hosting a giant making table open for the full duration—inviting artists of all ages to tinker, build, and create freely. Peace Kids to the Rescue will guide children and adults through a collaborative monoprinting experience using cake pans and paints.
From 3:00–4:30 pm, Lancaster TotSpot will host We Built This City!, a collaborative project exploring community, architecture, and sculpture as participants work together to design and embellish a city inspired by real-life surroundings or pure imagination. Geared toward children ages 2–10 and their caregivers—but welcoming creators of all ages—this activity emphasizes teamwork and storytelling through building.
And beginning at 4:30 pm, Hillside Place Studio will offer a quieter, low-key mixed media experience inspired by the book We Share This Neighborhood. Through collage, assemblage, and experimentation, participants will reflect on ideas of neighborhood and belonging, creating small works that express what community means to them in a calm, welcoming space.
Join us for a playful, process-focused evening of activities designed to encourage shared creativity between adults and kids.
This event is free and open to the public. Please register so we know how much fun to have on hand! RSVP Link: https://forms.gle/pvXmjr3TzzTfXxEE8
