City of Creatives
PCA&D enjoys the benefits of Lancaster City’s bustling and vibrant art community that boasts over 125 arts venues including galleries, museums, theaters, orchestras, ensembles, poetry sites, and public art installations. PCA&D is centrally located between the resources of the nation’s cultural capitals, Washington, D.C., and New York, and is easy to reach by car or rail.
Make sure to visit long enough to take advantage of our historic, art-filled Lancaster City, sample some of the city’s more than 90 restaurants and cafes, and enjoy our beautiful surrounding countryside. Consider joining us downtown for a First Friday (the first Friday of every month) or Music Friday (the third Friday of every month). Our city has put its creative talents to use and moved these staple events online to bring joy and music into people’s homes until downtown fully reopens.
