An excellent school for people who are looking for a small artistic community with amazing professors and faculty."

I transferred from another art college and such an experience made me realize what makes a college good and what makes a college home. PCAD became my new home through its community, professors and the lifelong friends I have made. The small size of the school is comforting and the academics has diversified so much over the past couple of years, especially with adding the options for a double major and so many minors. I hope others will love this school and community as much as I did."

Being at PCAD makes me feel safe and more at home than my actual home makes me feel. It's a small school but I think the size is part of the reason why the school feels so welcoming and warm. I've just finished my first year and am very excited to continue pursuing my degree here. Not once did I regret choosing to enroll at PCAD."

PCAD is a safe space for all types of artists. There's a ton of job opportunities for aspiring artists in Lancaster and I love the different housing options they provide. I've loved all of my professors so far, in person and online. They are always willing to work with me and help me understand the subject.”

Before we graduate, we are required to do an internship or mentorship under an artist with the career we want, and I was able to mentor under a character animator. Hands down my best experience at this school, which wouldn't have been possible without the help of the dedicated and professional professors. PCA&D is small, which makes the other people in your major become your art family. You get to know these people and work alongside them for 4 years, which is something I love about PCA&D.”

The Pennsylvania College of Art & Design is an amazing niche college that may not have all of the amenities of your traditional university but can open up so many opportunities to you while also giving you very personalized attention with their small class size and campus life. If you're looking for an Art & Design School that is located in a city that isn't too overwhelming then PCA&D might be the perfect college for you.”
