Lizbeth Sherlock’s illustrations portray the beauty in things that most people find ugly. From mushrooms to bugs to haunting portraiture, Sherlock uses a wide variety of media, including paints, pencils, markers, fibers, and digital tools. Her senior thesis project consists of ten editorial illustrations covering a broad range of subjects, including science, politics, business technology, and travel. Sherlock’s work has been exhibited at the College for Creative Studies in Michigan. Following graduation, she plans to explore editorial illustration or surface design.
