Fine Art, BFA

Minor in Art History & Visual Culture
My work is centered on interpreting memory, not as an objective truth, but as a bias shaped by emotion, perspective, and the human experience. I am fascinated by how memories distort and evolve over time, influenced by our feelings, beliefs, and perceptions. This distortion serves as the primary inspiration for my art, as I explore the past not as truth, but as a fluid and subjective experience. My art reflects the fragmented, sometimes unreliable nature of memory. In embracing this, I capture the disorienting aspects of the human experience, where meaning is never fixed but continuously shifting. Through this exploration, I aim to highlight how our understanding of the past is shaped by perception, feeling, and the passage of time, offering a glimpse into the fluidity of memory.

I’m a multi-media artist whose creative practice spans a variety of mediums, including painting, printmaking, fiber arts, mural arts, and installations. My artistic journey is influenced by my passion for exploring the spaces between art and thought. Drawing from philosophical studies, art history, and cultural dialogue, I use art as a tool to examine the complexity of the human experience and to express emotions, ideas, and stories that resonate on both personal and societal levels.
