Photography & Video, BFA

Minor in Photography & Video
Inspired by my family’s journey from Cambodia to the U.S., my thesis explores identity, memory, and the Cambodian American diaspora. As a first-generation Cambodian American, I use photography and video to reconnect with my heritage and preserve my family’s legacy.

This project is a personal investigation—into history, displacement, and the emotional weight of migration. I blend traditional Khmer aesthetics with contemporary techniques, including analog and digital photography, and archival materials.

My work includes portraits and still-life compositions using family relics. Through this body of work, I hope to create space for healing and reflection—honoring the past while building a visual archive for future generations.
