Meet your 2024-2025 Community Assistants
Monday, August 12th, 2024
Moving into college housing can be both exciting and nerve-wracking, especially if you’ve never lived away from home before.
That’s where PCA&D’s Community Assistants, or CAs, step in. Students themselves, they are charged with working together to oversee the College’s housing communities, building a sense of — yes — community and camaraderie, and ensuring that all residents feel supported, safe, and part of the College’s day-to-day life. At PCA&D, the CAs work under the direction of Michael Parks, Director of Residence Life & Housing.
“I’m thrilled to kick off this year with this amazingly talented 2024-25 CA team,” Parks said. “I’m looking forward to our training days, the buzz of Foundation/Transfer and Returner move-in days and seeing the creative community programs our CAs will bring to life.
“Here’s to a year filled with laughter, creativity, and unforgettable residence life moments.”
Meet this year’s Community Assistants:
WILLIAM BENKOVIC: Hi my name is William, I am the CA of Harner in Seminary. I am an Illustration major in my junior year here at PCA&D. Things to know about me are that I’m a Type 1 diabetic and I love playing D&D with my close friends!
AIDAN DiROSATO: Hello everyone! I am Aidan, going into my sophomore year, majoring in Graphic Design. I keep myself busy with running Kesshiclothing.com and taking on other design/art projects I find interesting. I spend whatever free time I have reading and being active. Or trying to, I’m the first to admit that a great game or show can completely distract me. I’ll be CA at The Roost.
RYLEE HOHNEY: Hello everyone. My name is Rylee Hohney. I am one half of the two-part CA team at the housing on Charlotte Street. A little bit about me is that I am a senior in the Photography and Videography department. I am a vegetarian and I LOVE animals! I can’t wait to be a CA and meet you all, we are going to have a great year!
MOLLY RUCH: Molly is a junior in Fine Art from Maryland. She is lead CA at Charlotte Creative Corner. Her favorite mediums are watercolor, ink, and collage. Other than art she enjoys seeing live music, watching classic movies, playing guitar, and adding to her Monster High and Barbie doll collection.
RACHEL RUNK: Hey my name is Rachel. I’m a junior year animation & game art student and a CA at Creative Commons North. I’d describe myself as a very chill and laid-back person. Like many at PCA&D, I love video games. I hope to one day make my own or work for a game studio.
BECK SCHILLING: Beck is an illustration major who likes Minecraft, writing short stories, the color green, and sleeping twelve hours a day. They like to spend the time that they are not thinking about Minecraft, short stories, green, and sleeping, at their computer drawing or maybe in a park (still drawing). They are excited to welcome students to PCA&D housing at the Lancaster Theological Seminary for the 2024-2025 year!
LEXY SILLS-SCHUELER: Lexy is a senior fine art major and the CA of the James Street community. Besides art, they enjoy reading, listening to music and watching low-rated movies with friends. They’re excited for housing events with their residents this school year.
ALEX SMITH: Hey I am Alex Smith, a sophomore studying LiveX and a CA at the Lofts at Market. I moved from Los Angeles to pursue a career in live entertainment.
LUCAS SMITH: I’m a 5th-year illustration senior from a little middle of nowhere town called Elkton, Maryland. My hobbies include D&D, video games, hiking, swimming, working out, and scuba diving. Ask me about anything dinosaur related or hit me up with your new D&D character ideas! I’m always down to workshop, and you can find me in the Lofts at Steinman.
