Paige Alana Bowermaster’s work will brand the 2023 Senior Show & Celebration
Tuesday, November 1st, 2022
A team of design professionals has chosen the work of Paige Alana Bowermaster ’23, Graphic Design, to brand Pennsylvania College of Art & Design’s 2023 Senior Show and Celebration.
Bowermaster’s design, inspired by her Foundation year footwear and an autocorrect typo that changed “show” to “shoe”, will appear on all promotional materials for the annual event that showcases work from each member of the Class of 2023. From social media graphics to posters, tickets, and merchandise, Bowermaster’s concept ties together the “footprints” of individual impact that each artist will leave on the school — and each path they’ll follow as they graduate from PCA&D.
Other finalists in the Nov. 1 competition were chosen after a first round of internal judging that considered presentations from each Graphic Design and Illustration major. Rounding out the finalist list were Graphic Design majors Tyler Handa and Frankie Reed; and Illustration majors Ezra Davulcu, Xenon Honchar, Hunter Snider, Jasmyn Stokes, and the team of Sadie Berndt, Olivia Kenny, and Madison Milewski.
Each finalist presented their design in front of a panel of judges from the regional professional creative community: Garrick Dorsett, HACC instructor and partner in the Huckle Buckle Boys; Josh Hamer, Kinectiv Art Director; Libby Modern, artist and owner of Modern Art; Mark Reinmiller, Kinectiv Account Director; Adam Taylor, founder and partner of Bom Bom branding and design studio; and Scott Trobaugh, founder of Dash 8 Creative.
