This Friday is the 2015 ExtraGive!

PCA&D is participating in the Extraordinary Give, Lancaster County’s Largest Day of Giving.

For 24-hours only, visit ExtraGive.org, make a donation (min. $25) and every dollar you donate will be stretched by $300,000 from the Lancaster County Community Foundation and their presenting sponsors. PLUS, there’s an additional $50,000 in prizes we can win just from your donation!

PCA&D is making November 20th a day of celebration and we’d like you to join us!

8 – 10  a.m.  –Coffee and cupcakes to support PCA&D, in the Gallery at PCA&D

1 to 2 p.m.  –Pop -Up Print shop with image by Fine Art Instructor Becky Blosser. For a donation have the image silkscreened on your shirt. For a $25 donation, we’ll supply the shirt (limited number shirts available). In PCA&D’s Atriium, 204 N Prince St.

5 – 8 p.m.    –The Pop Up Print Shop moves to the Ware Center for more ExtraGive excitement, including music, food and more!

The Extraordinary Give is a day of camaraderie and activity where Lancaster County comes together to support the non-profit organizations that are important to our community. Pennsylvania College of Art & Design is one of the region’s leading cultural centers., offering signature events, artist talks, classes, workshops, and gallery events to the public. In addition, The Mosaic Project provides scholarships for under-served middle school and high school students so they spend may a day with professional artists and our Designathon provides real-world experience for students by matching them with non-profits in need of professional-quality design work.

Joe Columbo, Alumni Ambassador, Class of ’08, encourages everyone connected with the college to join him in supporting PCA&D on this single day of giving:

As an illustrator making my way up in the ranks I understand the value of budgeting and expenses.  The Extra Give is a great way to help create more opportunities for the College and is light on the wallet. The minimum donation is only $25 and is done online at ExtraGive.org.  Donations strengthen the Annual Fund which supports scholarships, student activities, the Gallery and all of the things that help make PCA&D a great place of creativity and community.  Already being part our PCA&D family means you can make the donation in honor of a faculty member, your major or your class year.

Visit ExtraGive.org on November 20th from your computer, smartphone, or other device.  Choose the PCA&D page, and make an online donation.  Each organization receives a percentage of the stretch pool, so if PCA&D raises 3% of the day’s donations, we will receive 3% of the $250,000 stretch pool.  Plus any EXTRA money from the $50,000 in prizes!
