What’s new in the Art Garden

. . .

Monday, October 6th, 2014

The Art Garden at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design is home to “Create Influence,” a sculptural installation dedicated in September 2014 and created by nationally-known designers Gail Anderson and Joe Newton.

Just in time for October’s First Friday, “Four Surreal Seasons” was installed along the walkway that winds through the Garden. The 26 large-scale paintings, crafted by illustration majors from the Class of 2014, were created in the spirit of “exquisite corpse” and depict fictional characters in all four seasons of the year. Some of the works are shown above.

Class of 2014 alumni who created paintings include Taylor Buck, Tristan Chace, Nicole Cruz-Ramos, Alex Forgette, Matthew Guiliano, Adam Harris, William Hartzell, Tylor Heagy, Zach Heffelfinger, Patrick Hennigan, Victoria Hepler, Jen Kraft, Rachel Little, Matthew Major, Melissa Markovich, Kelly Mercado, Taylor Miklos, Danny Morgan, Patrick Nulty, Tori Poole, Sarah Schenke, Ian Tompkins, Brittany Tucker, Todd Ulrich, Aurelie Wagner, and Mike Yakovlev.
