Hi, I’m Abel! I’m an illustrator particularly focused on comics and storytelling. My passions include writing, and being very annoying about vintage, retro, anything! I was involved in the Agency’s 250PA competition, and I plan to become a full time graphic novelist in the future. I hope that in the future I will improve my leadership skills in order work with colleagues in the future.

My Thesis project are two collage based zines, particularly about commonly idealized decades, with the example here being the 1960s and 1980s, centering around different women.

In the first zine, Mary, a woman living in 1969, is watching the moon landing for the first time, and lamenting on her life, and how they can put men on the moon, but a woman like her cannot own her own bank account.

In the second zine, Maria, an 18-year-old girl, is on a trip with her grade to Germany. The year being 1989, the Berlin wall had just collapsed, and Maria had to grapple with what she wanted in life. Seeing the destruction, she takes a bit of the wall with her, and decides she would like to become a linguist tutor.
