Em Sohn

Nonbinary illustrator Em Sohn’s love for animals is immediately recognizable in their bold patterns and characters. Through bright colors and strong line work, Sohn brings levity to the comforting companions that surround us in our daily lives.

Drawing on their Jewish heritage, Sohn’s senior thesis is an illustrated children’s book co-authored by their father and a Hebrew card deck.

Sohn serves as Secretary for the Society of Illustrators and designed the T-shirt for 24 Hour Comic Day. They plan to pursue an MFA in illustration following graduation.
