Rachel Wolfe’s illustrations convey a sense of timelessness and charm through thoughtful detail and craft. She specializes in surface design, character design, and narrative illustration. She utilizes both traditional and digital methods of drawing and painting.
For her senior thesis, Rachel focused on a children’s story she wrote about a mouse who lives in a library. Included here are the completed drawings for the first seven spreads of the book. Rachel plans to continue the project after graduation.
Wolfe came to PCA&D after a career as an Administrative Assistant, most recently at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She holds a previous Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Longwood University and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate of Fine Art from MICA.
