Thesis Project

After becoming infatuated by costume construction in the world of cosplay and theater, I began to pursue illustration that combines a passion for working in the costume industry, and problem solving for fantasy worlds. For my work I explored this deeper as if I were a commissioned artist to work on the main cast of the Trans Siberian Orchestra’s “the Lost Christmas Eve ” rock opera for its 20th Anniversary. I had taken my designs from sketch to final garment to be able to display. I found a new path for myself in costume work that combines both my interests as an artist with what I am capable of and feel my artistic training makes me prepared for. I put so much effort into turning around my artistic journey into one of not only traditional illustration, but an exploration of 3D work for a live show. I am proving to myself I can take this path and seeing it all take form makes every single stitch worth it.
