These departments are responsible for the in-house editorial, pre-press and manufacturing processes of turning manuscripts into bound books after acquisition all within the desired timeframe and budget. Some responsibilities include copy editing, proofreading materials including TI sheets, reader guides, cover copy, font matter, marketing materials, and assisting with freelancer communication. Interns may also be asked to create, and track production schedules and communication.
