Thesis Project

For my thesis, I decided to create a fully illustrated children’s picture book called Thank You Alex. I am dedicating it to the friends who have believed in me and loved me for who I am whether they are a human or a stuffed animal. The story follows a young girl and her beloved stuffed fox named Alex. They do everything and go everywhere together. When they go to school though, some people have a problem with Alex tagging along, but the pair end up finding genuine friends who accept both of them for who they are. I have always loved to draw charming little characters and environments, and it only seemed natural to me to adapt my art style to a children’s book. Alex, who is also a real stuffed animal, and friend who has been by my side since 2016. Its only natural that I express my gratitude in the best way I know how.
