Teaching Philosophy: I do my best to enact a critical and feminist pedagogy, which are, at their core(s), philosophies of education that aim to help students develop a consciousness to take constructive action. I want my classroom to be a safe space while allowing for disagreements, and a deep re/consideration of ideas. I hope my students feel comfortable and safe enough to challenge assumptions, provide alternative perspectives, and identify oppressive forms of discourse (even mine!). I value what I learn from and with my students about these commitments that I hold and aspire to enact.
