The family of peers you develop as you progress through the program I found to be most useful. Sure, you learn a lot from your actual classes and professors, but the people you share your classes with also help to build you. You critique each other and feed off the creative energy as you grow together as artists. Once you're out in the real world, you realize how important your network is.
